Yoga is more than fancy gymnastics—it is a radical act of self-care, a gateway to healing, and a profound tool for transformation, both personal and planetary. Rooted in indigenous wisdom, my approach integrates gentle yet powerful practices that restore balance, reconnect you with your body’s innate intelligence, and cultivate a deep sense of presence.
Guided by the steps of Yoginis before us, our practice is an act of Rematriation—a return of the body to Mother Earth. It is about unravelling from systems that disconnect us, softening back into natural rhythms and cyclical wisdom, and remembering that healing is not just personal but collective.
Through a blend of movement, breathwork, meditation, and Yoga Nidra, each session is designed to meet you where you are - whether you seek physical ease, emotional resilience, or a moment of stillness in a chaotic world.
Yoga is a return to wholeness and the realisation of our interconnectedness with all sentient life.
Experience the transformative power of rest!
Together will co-create a Nidra that align with your specific needs and circumstances. A MP4 recording sent by WhatsApp at the end of the session.
Yoga Nidra is often translated as 'Yogic Sleep', but more accurately, it is 'a state of being'. It is the most universal, effective, healing and transformative ritual that I have experienced. Paradoxically it is also the most accessible and the less demanding practice, all you need to do is get comfy and close your eyes!
During Nidra we practice self-study, sense withdrawal, concentration and meditation (even when we travel in and out of conscious state and all the places in between!).
It is adaptogenic: an herbalist term, which means that it has multiple therapeutic properties and its medicine adapt itself to our individual needs at that given moment. Side effects include, deep relaxation, problem solving, increased spiritual and personal growth, developing creativity and intuitive wisdom.
Yoga Nidra opens the gates to infinite possibilities. Its effects benefit us on all levels of our being as well as all those around us, making it a mighty tool for planetary healing and justice.
Clear your space by lighting your favourite candle/incense/oil or playing your favourite tune, creating the ambience that settle you best.
Prepare your resting nest with a nicely padded underneath, pillows, blocks, bolsters or whatever support your body needs. For example, if you feel tension in your lower back whilst lying with your legs straight, you could place something under the back of your knees to release the tension.
Feel free to rest in whichever position feels most snug and comfy (on your side/in your bed/legs up the wall/seated…). Whatever works for you to feel effortlessly supported during your travel through the sacred landscape of your body. It may not be the same position every time, just listen to what your body is telling you in this moment and where it tells you to add an extra pillow. For example, if you are in your menstruating cycle, or pregnant, you may find lying on your side with pillows to support your upper thigh more appropriate.
Your perfect nest is one that allows you to get to that most delightful position where you can just let go and rest. It can very well be your bed or sofa.
Have a blanket to keep you cosy and warm as your body temperature will lower as you deeply relax, even in the middle of summer.
Make sure to turn your phone off and that you won't be disturbed. Pets and babies are welcome, in fact they love yoga Nidra.
